my friend who works in oncology talks of a healer that runs his hands over your body and apparently can remove all toxins INCLUDING cancer.

I dont know what they call it but its supposed to make you feel really weak a few days afterwards.

The healers hands dont actually touch you though...? what is this, anyone heard of it? is it dangerous or a load of rubbish?

  1. It is called psychic surgery and yes it is a quack.Cancer by nature is an autoimmune disease that attacks the body for sometimes unexplainable reasons. It metastasises and destroys organs .Load of rubbish.

  2. any healing that produces a sense of well being must be good...add it as a complement to orthodox medicine and the patient is getting a double whammy.

I can't believe it can cure cancer but I believe that healing can encourage a positive outlook

  3. I have heard of this type of "garantee" before. ANY thing that gives you a statistic of 100% is clearly LYING.

I have seen many alternative tharapies work distance healing, Reiki, hypnotherapy you name it I have seen it work. Now I cant claim that this is some mystical power or simply a form of energy healing/ transfer or simply the power of the placebo effect (your body can heal itself if it "knows"  / believes its being treated)  This kind of thing CAn work but unless you have experienced it I can understand you are unlikely to believe it.

However although not dangerous this one you mention does sound like nonsense NOTHING is 100%. h**l I can mention a tea that is suposed to help with cancer but it doesnt garuntee it. Anything that does is not worth your time!

  4. No one can say for sure if cancer can be 'removed'  Although massage is therapeutic. My husband suffered from cancer 6 years before he died of the symptoms. i used to give him therapeutic massage. Massaged the feet to remove toxins from the liver - this can cause loose bowel motions and shows that the massage is working. I also used Reiki which is a form of massage but not hands on. With this, my hands could pick up the aresa which needed most hearlin - i discovered a mass, twicw by picking up body heat from giving Reiki. apart from anything else, he relaxed as he had faith in what i was dooing. The relaxation helped him to sleep ,  I must add  thankfully he died peacefully.

  5. This type of treatment is called healing touch. It is actually an enegy based form of healing. I have had this done several times and though I am not cured, I feel better each time that I have had it done. This site can explain.

Many reputable hospitals offer this as does Hospice. Must not be all bad!

  6. It is a load of rubbish.  "Toxins" and cancer can NOT be "removed" in this manner.

  7. For those who think that healing touch is a load of "rubbish", I have one thing to say: Think about what happens to your body when you get a cut or a bruise. Even if you do nothing to the area, over time it will likely heal on its own. However, if you simply place the palm of your hand over the cut area and simply tell yourself that this cut will heal soon. If you pay enough attention to the cut and you obviously don't "try" to get an infection, you may notice that the cut will heal a lot quicker than normal.

The reason for this is 2-fold. For one, our bodies are meant to heal themselves. They have a natural means of keeping themselves free of disease, toxins, autoimmune disorders and the like. The problem is, most people are so "h**l-bent" on "western medicine theory" that they can't fathom the fact that there is really an alternative.

Secondly, as our bodies are capable of healing themselves, the undeniable fact still remains that human interaction increases the potential healing capability of a person no matter what their beliefs.

So what your friend is describing is not rubbish but a centuries old method that dozens of cultures throughout history have heavily relied on for healing and nurturing of the people they love and care for.

The thing to keep in mind is that it isn't safe to believe everything you hear to the point of "terminal acceptance" it's safer to dissuade your doubts for the sake of trying something different once in a while.

Keep in mind though, not everyone agrees about these kinds of topics and while the majority may not follow along, each person is different and the desires of the masses may not suit your particular beliefs and or needs.

  8. Unless the guy has really bad intentions which I hope he has not, there is nothing dangerous bout it. BUt I don think he has such powers. you might still give it a try though.

but these things really do exist. ever heard of "reiki" though its slightly different..

  9. Greetings,

What I believe your friend is talking about is auric healing, probably an intuitive. I have no firsthand experience of the exact type, but I can tell you that it is not reiki, and therefore may be a completely down to the person.  Radiation therapy perhaps.  Either way, I have, nor do you, any reason to doubt that it is possible, and I doubt that it is dangerous.   By the way, reiki is a universal form of hands on healing, and works on all levels of health (Mental emotional etheric karmic spiritual, as well as the physical)  Speeding up healing and bringing in higher energies, releasing blocked energy.  I hope this answers your question.  The fact that it leaves you feeling weak, suggests that they are using your energy rather than theres, to heal you.   Cancer is highly treatable, but is not a toxin.

  10. I'd like to place my vote in load of rubbish group.

Cancer is unregulated growth of cells.  Cancer can occur in a wide variety of tissues.  I am skeptical that a mechanism which does not physically contact the body would be able to remove cancer from the body.  Ask your oncology friend if (s)he can provide documented proof of the efficacy of healing massage.  Articles from a scientific peer reviewed journal could change my skepticism.

It is possible that the healing massage does provide some sort of placebo effect.
