  1. the reason they added cruiser weight is because heavyweights had gotten too big for someone over 175 and not over 200.

Now days we see lots of really big heavyweights.

We used to see lots of heavyweights who were under 6 ft. but now it seems they are all over 6 ft.

  2. Yes, the heavyweights of today are huge compared to the ones of the past.  Take Wladimir Klitschko- he is 6 feet, 6 inches and he regularly weighs about 245 pounds.  Compare that to Rocky Marciano who was 5 feet, 10 inches and regularly weighed about 185 pounds.  Today, Rocky wouldn't even be a heavyweight, he'd be a cruiserweight.  Even Larry Holmes was small for a heavyweight in today's standards- he was tall at 6 feet, 3 inches, but in his prime, he only weighed about 215 pounds, same thing with Muhammad Ali.  I just wish that they had talent like the older fighters did to go along with their size...

  3. I'm 6'4 and a middle weight, because I weigh 185... well after I drop again..

Weight classes are for weight not height.

  4. they dogs

  5. yes, heavyweights are bigger, faster, and stronger !!!
