Think about your question.  The only reason they fly is because they have an engine that turns blades to produce downward thrust.

An airship (blimp) is lifted by a big "balloon" that contains lots of gas with less density than the surrounding atmosphere.  It doesn't need engines to go up.

they do not float around, they have to fly actively, that is, they are heavier than the air.

the only aircraft lighter than air are the hot air baloons, hydrogen -helium baloons  and blimps/zeppelins

Are you serious?  Does a helicopter have to be tied down to keep from floating away when the rotors aren't spinning?  Heavier than air....
