  1. I agree that gasoline prices are ridiculous!  Exxon again has posted RECORD profits!  Just the major oil companies guoging us again!  It will never end!  As far as buying E85 Cars, what a friggin laugh that is!  The price of E85 is higher than premium unleaded gasoline!  All E85 has done is drive the price of corn sky high, along with all the petroleum products!

  2. For many.  I heard a while back on the news that the percentage of road trips had dropped significantly because of gas prices.  Turns out it costs just as much to take a bus tour or even a plane.  The problem is that it will get worst.  It is estimated that gas prices will cost up to $5.00 a gallon.  Maybe i should buy a motorcycle or scooter.  This is ridiculous.

  3. No, 90% of the time a bike is unsuitable and Public Transportation is too far away or too infrequent , so driving less is the answer.  just one less trip anywhere once a week will help.  I had 3 cars, got rid of one and bought an E85 vehicle and cut My Driving and buying Way, way back.

  4. Not really for me....but I stay parked a lot more than I used to!

  5. not at the moment

  6. one would think so... if it is not, then the fuel prices are extremely inelastic...

  7. I can't speak for the rest of the country, but here in Massachusetts, they've made public transportation so expensive, in a lot of cases is cheaper to drive your car. Bike riding is okay if you work a mile or two from home, but if you're looking at a 20 mile plus commute each way, riding a bike might be a little difficult - then you also have to contend with rain, snow or below freezing temperatures.

  8. not really, there still same amount of traffic in the roads, and people still traveling in holidays and weekends as before. Personally I'm carpooling..and try to plan out my route before i hit the road on the weekends.. every little saved gas helps! =)
