  1. The ideal distance from the screen is at least 30 inches so that your eyes are not constantly accomodating for close vision.

    So, the larger the screen, the further back you can place it and still see it.

    Laptops are more tiring for the eyes because you have to be closer to the screen all the time than with a desk top monitor.

    It doesn't really matter what kind or size of screen you have if you are always going to be very close to it either way.

    If for some reason, you have to be close to it all the time, then it becomes more important to take very frequent breaks to let your eyes refocus at distant objects.
