  1. Evolutionary changes become apparent only over a long period of time. The time we have left, or that we can monitor for changes, will be too short for anything to be noticed. Humans have not changed much in 200,000 years. We will not change much any time soon.

That being said, evolution will occur, as it has always done. Possibly we will become more resistant to background radiation and pollution effects, unfortunately by those who aren't resistant dying from cancer etc.

We will probably not develop longer fingers, or better eyesight etc, as suggested by another respondent, we will most likely redesign lighting and equipment to better suit our  needs and bodies, not the other way around. The ability to alter our environment sets humans apart from other animals.

  2. Absolutley.  there's no proof that this form is the "end result".  Some climate change will cause us to evolve.

  3. yes ! Evolution is always happening. Every time you procreate you introduce genetic diversity through a process called recombination. Cancers arise because our cells evolve mechanisms to evade immune system and avoid cell death.

What will we evolve to ? Taller I guess as girls seem to want the tallest guy they can find to have tall children

  4. Evolution and random mutation are a long and messy thing.

I would say that we will genetically engineer ourselves onto what we would consider a new species someday much sooner than evolutions mechanisms could produce.

  5. Humans stopped evolving somewhere around 1983.

  6. I think we will. If you can see past the "apocolypse" that is, because it will take many many years to see any dramatic results. We've already evolved from the man of the middle ages, we're taller, stronger, healthier, we live longer, and we're initially more intelligent. I think in the future, we're going to develope an advanced immune system that can handle harsh air and drinking water, also perhaps tougher skin to handle more direct UV rays. Our bodies will change as our earth and our daily lives change. Perhaps we'll eventually have long extremely flexible finger for typing and working with electronics, or we'll develop a special type of vision that improves long-time artifical light viewing. (tv or computer monitor?)

  7. eventually, i think we will
