Are hormone injections more effective then chlomid?

I have PCOS and i dont ovulate or have regular periods, I took 1 round of clomid 50 mg, and nothing happened, then another cycle with 100 mg clomid and there was no improvement. My doctor says hormone injections will be the best option this cycle, with fewer side effects. Can some one please tell if it worked for them and whether it is more effective then other treatments?

Injectables are definitely more effective than clomid. Its higher chances for multiples though. Usually when clomid doesnt work Injectables are the next best thing. then its invitro.
