a friend told me that his dad thinks hummingbirds beaks are poison.

  2. What?  Where did you hear such nonsense??? I don't even know how that's a feasible falsehood, since hummingbirds' beaks aren't sharp, but merely hollow casings for their proboscis, by which they drink flower nectar (or sugar water if you've put out a feeder.)

  3. all hummingbirds do is suck the sweets from flowers,I cough one  once and had no ill reaction from it so I will say no

  4. Absolutely NOT.  There are no poison "birds" anywhere in the world.

    The bite of a Seagull can be very painful and usually gets badly infected.  Why?  Because they eat fish, and old, rotten fish leavings on their beaks and in their mouths can cause real problems, but they are NOT poisonous either.

    But, Hummingbirds are the most gentle, most nonthreatening birds on the planet.
