It is highly unlikely that such a shift in world order could occur in your lifetime.  Such a move would require a motivating set of factors such that existing governments would capitulate and yield their positions of wealth, power, and spheres of influence.  Until then, people will be classified by nationality, and nationality will be identified by passports issued by individual governments (or in some rare cases, organizations).
