Are calls TO your magic jack phone free to people CALLING You?

Depends....

Magicjack and Magicjack.ca are only issuing phone numbers in "select" USA metropolitan area codes (none in Canada yet).

So, if the calling person happens to live in the "same area code" as your MJ phone number area code, then it is free to call them (just like calling any local area phone number).

But, if the calling person lives outside the MJ phone number area code, they will pay their LD carrier LD fees.... just like calling any other phone number outside of their local area code....

If I am wrong... someone please feel free to show me the link that states otherwise...

Be careful with "marketing" wording like "A phone number from one of many metropolitan areas around the country that can receive free incoming calls from around the world".... What they are saying is that "You" receive the call for free.... but the person calling pays whatever the toll charges are for them to reach your MJ area code number from their location...

Your calls are free when calling or recieving calls from anyone in the US and Canada.

Your friends calling you depends on which service they are using, if they are using Magic Jack then their calls are free too.
