  1. Indian Casinos are regulated just as any other casino.  It depends on the state's governing agency.  Also, just because an Indian casino is owned by an Indian tribe doesn't mean it's run by them.  Indian casinos usually hire a casino management firm to run the place.

  2. what is also important to know is that technically those reservations are part of a different country so some gaming regulations may not apply...just be careful.

  3. Every casino game, wherever they are,  favor the house.  They are all regulated.  So to say they are fixed any more than Vegas or Atlantic City the answer is no.  Every game whether it be cards, dice, video, roulette, or whatever else they can come up with, will end up with the casino winning more often than the players.

  4. Nope

  5. No, Indian casinos are not "fixed" in the sense you will be cheated outright.

There is some very weak regulation of them, and Indian Casinos sometimes have been found to be in non-conformance with the government regulations. They pay a fine, but sometimes the fine is less than the profit they made.  This usually applies to slot machines that are set to have very low paybacks.

However Indian Casinos, by their nature, often give the players a raw deal! Since they are usually the only place around to play, they can set the house edge higher than the casinos that have competition, such as in Las Vegas.

They offer lower odds on games, use rules that are far more disadvantageous to the players to boost their profit margins.

For example, I was in an Indian Casino outside of El Paso a few years back, and they charged a fee of $.50 per hand to play blackjack, and a minimum $5 bet. They hit soft 17, double down only on 10 or 11, and no double down after a split. Very bad game! Needless to say, I did not play there. We did, however, have an excellent dinner!

Always check the rules first in any casino table game before you play!

  6. They are all regulated by the state government to ensure that the public doesn't get ripped off. All house games have a built in house advantage so they don't need to fix the games. The casinos will ALWAYS win off the general public in the longrun.

It may seem like they are fixed when you suffer a few losses in a row, but indian casinos are just like any other...they are watched by the government closely.

  7. I don't think so
