Are iphone earphones different from ipod earphones??

i have earphones and they worked fine for my ipod touch, but on my iphone, whenever it swivels a little the music will stop playing! is it because its recessed jack or is broken??

  1. it depends on which iphone ones you have if you have the older ones then it will only work in that iphone but if you have the new ones they work in anything


  2. you answered your own question,the jack for the iPod touch, in variation with the iPhone jack,is bigger and will not snuggly fit inside the iphone.

  3. IPod earphones should work just fine on an iPhone.  The only difference is that iPod earphones don't have a microphone, so you can't use them to call people.  I'm afraid your headphones are broken.  Any replacement headphones with a 3.5 mm connector (check the box) should work just fine--they don't even have to be made by Apple.

  4. The iPhone can't use the same headphones as iPods. The headphone jack is different, bigger. There is an adapter you can buy in order to use regular headphones with the iPhone. Otherwise, you'll have to find some headphones made specifically for the iPhone.
