    If trhey refer to religious sects then they might be.

  3. is this a joke?,download and listen to THE BRITISH SOLDIER and make your own mind up,there is a world of difference between republican propaganda and folk music so yes,they are sectarian,a biased opinon maybe but its the way i feel.

  4. Not intrinsically so.  If they're just about the republican movement itself, that has nothing to do with religion - it's politics.  'Republican' isn't necessarily 'Catholic'.   However, if they were talking about religion as well and attacked any particular religion, they might be.
