  1. Uh, no.  They have leftover beef parts in them.

    Totally not vegetarian.

  2. Your supervisor is pulling your leg.

  3. no

  4. For the last time no.

  5. Not even a teeny, tiny bit true.  They do have soy in them as a cheap filler, but the bulk of the meat is... meat.  They are primarily made of beef.

This is evidently the rumor that never dies.

Here are the ingredients, directly from their website:

Beef Regular Taco or Beef Monster Taco® Filling Ingredients: Beef, Water, Textured Vegetable Protein (Soy Flour, Caramel Color), Soy Grits, Seasoning [Chili Powder (Chili Peppers, Spices, Salt, Garlic Powder), Wheat Flour, Taco Mix (Chili Pepper, Garlic, Salt, Spices, Monosodium Glutamate, Dextrose, Onion), Imitation Beef Extract (Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Hydrolyzed Soy, Wheat and Corn Protein, Monosodium Glutamate, Dextrose, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Disodium Guanylate, Disodium Inosinate), Silicon Dioxide (added to prevent caking)], Salt, Tomato Paste, Worcestershire® Sauce (Distilled Vinegar, Molasses, Corn Syrup, Water, Salt, Caramel Color, Garlic Powder, Sugar, Spices, Tamarind, Natural Flavor, Sulfiting Agent). Tortilla Ingredients: Ground Corn, Water, Lime. Cooked in Frying Shortening. Contains Soy, Wheat

  6. ugh, I wouldn't trust anything that came out of any fast food "restaurant".

  7. No, they aren't. I figure most folks don't like Jack in the Box and they aren't anywhere near where I live, but that webpage Mockingbird linked to should be the STANDARD for all restaurant and food related ingredients pages. It was very thorough, where many of the others seem like they are trying to hide things and trick people.

  8. no because they put dog food inside. how can anyone eat those i have no clue

  9. h**l no!! they come from the burger-joint-Kings!! they aren't trying to help you stay healthy.

  10. Wow, your supervisor is a lying @ss.

The tacos contain beef AND soy.

The soy is used as a cheap filler.

Jack-in-the-Box tacos can hardly be considered food.

  11. No they aren't vegetarian. It is something that vegetarians claim and tell themselves because they feel guilty about eating them. My uncle is a manager at  a Jack in the Box restaraunt and he said the first ingrediant on the taco meat is beef fat.

  12. The "meat" of a Jack-in-the-Box Taco is cereal soaked with beef grease.  I used to think it was corn meal but according to their website it is Soy meal, then some tasty beef grease mixed in to give it the beef flavor.  Interesting to note that when I was a kid in the 70's I notice the paper envelope the Taco came in had printed at the bottom in small print "Ralston Purina Company" which was a pet food company now owned by Nestle.  So to say that a Jack-in-the-Boxy Taco contains dog food is not far off.  But I loved them as a kid and still do.  There is nothing wrong with soy or corn, vegetarians eat it all the time.
