  1. um no . not even if you wear them under your ski pants. wear ski pants and then underneath something like sweatpants or pjs. it will make your life much easier since you will be able to bend your legs well.

  2. Sure, just not on the ski hill, they are great around the lodge and in the lounge. On the hill, wear ski pants that are water repellant and give a good freedom of movement.  Your jeans may look good and fit tight, but they get wet and then cold, even a few minutes can make you very uncomfortable, and possibly expose you to hypothermia.

  3. no, absolutely not because they are denim which isnt waterproof. you need SKI pants. if you fall then you will get wet and be miserable the whole day.

  4. no

  5. If you don't fall then go ahead however it will be uncomfortable and tight and maybe not warm enough.

  6. On the way to the mountain and fater skiing, sure.  Here's what you should wear:

Inner layer: something non-cotton and long sleeved/legged. Long underwear works but you want to make sure it's not cotton because when cotton gets wet (from sweat or snow) it's heavy and won't insulate. It'll make you colder.

Middle layer: this one is for warmth. Fleece is great. Wool works too. Again, not cotton if you can swing it.

Outer layer: waterproof! Windproof! Tuck your middle upper body layer into your pants to make a nice barrier. Gloves and a hat are important too.

Sometimes I wear two middle layers, sometimes not. The great thing about layering rather than just wearing a parka is that if you get a bit warmer you can take one thing off and you can easily add one thing. What I usually wear is:

Legs: underwear, polypro pants, thin fleece pants, snow pants.

Upper body: polypro long sleeve shirt, tshirt, fleece jacket, winter jacket.

  7. please no jeans during ski. people will just laugh and make fun of you. you will totaly look like a tourist. wear snow pants plus its alot more comfortable and with jeans youll get all wet and cold . not a good idea at alll. take my advice!

  8. it's spring skiing right now, so it's a bit warmer than last month.  waterproof pants are best, though.

  9. No dont wear jeans they will get wet and you will get very cold, i would suggest you get a pair of snow pants. Water proof would be better if you fall alot because you will get wet and cold.

    goodluck!

  10. It depends.

    CONS:

    a)  Cotton is a poor material to wear when doing sports that cause you to perspire a lot, because the fibres absorb moisture and stay wet for a long time.  In the winter it's even worse, because when you stop this moisture gets cold and will chill you to the bone.

    b)  Jeans usually aren't the best attire for mobility

    PROS:

Let's say you're a dude, you have a mullet (you know, business up front, party in the back), possibly a handlebar mustache (at least down past the 1/2 way point between the mouth and bottom of chin), this will REALLY accentuate your style.  Bonus points for wearing rear-entry boots and having mismatched poles.

I'm sure that there is an equivalent female character for this as well.

  11. NO. Cotton is a poor fabric in the cold. You legs will be cold and wet. If you can't get hold of ski pants, wear something like track (leisure) pants with overpants on top. I wore these on several skiing holidays until I bought proper ski pants. The overpants cost me about $25.

  12. jeans are great to wear on the way to the mountain.  As for skiing, the minute you fall or your buddy stops fast and sprays you, you're going to be hating life.  Get a pair of snow pants from some place, even Walmart if you don't have much cash.  At least you won't get drenched.
