Are jews really richer? Is there a scientific study?

Question

People say : "Jews are rich."

But is it true today? Can you help me to find a serious statistical study that confirms or rejects this fact?

Obviously, all jews are not rich. In fact, I'd say, most jews are not rich, and most of the rich are not jews, and for the sake of this argument, I use jew in the sense of anyone who can be considered a jew by culture or jewish law.

I think the median socio-economic class of most jews hovers around middle class. This is because the families generally stress education and, in a way, family honor.

Yes.  They are part of a vast Jewish conspiracy in which they control all of the banks and movie studios and hand out cash every Sunday while the Christians are in church.   They give out the secret location at temple and you have to know the secret handshake in order to get your cut.

Seriously, given that they are descriminated against around the world I would be suprised to find that they have a higher proportion of wealth than other demographic segments.

I really don't think that is the case.  I think a lot of the theory comes from the ideal that Jews harbor or hord their money and nickel and dime everything, so if they make money and don't spend it, they must have more than all of us.  It hasn't nothing to do with being jewish, just being cheap or stubborn with money.  Anyone can do that.. LOL
