Are jobs more stressful in today's economy?

More pressure, less time to get tasks completed, quicker deadlines. Are jobs more insanely stressful these days, or is it just my imagination??

I'd say so because there is the possibility of you loosing your job .

Jobs are not necessarily more stressful, its just that it is a different kind of stress now. Instead of physical stress from plowing fields, you get, say, mental stress from checking email.

Also, as the number of people on earth increase, then competition will increase, making it harder to keep your job.

At least you're not in China, where you have to do your job flawlessly, because no matter what your job is, somebody else wants it.
