Are kids growing up too fast these days?

not 1 day is ever the same in my life, my kid is 6 going on 13!!

I wasn't expecting the "Drama" to start until high school age!

I just wanted to know if there are others who feel the same...

  1. Just yesturday you were giving them piggy-backs in the park. Then you blinked lol.I`m 13 and I ovbiously dont know how that feels but I can imagine. Thats why you should take as many pictures of your kids and do anything to preserve memories. Like scrapbooking, baby books, and family albums. Thankyou to all adults for sharing your regrets so us(the next gen)can make sure we dont do the same mistakes!

    And I`m sure your all great mums and are learning from your children each day.

  3. Oh my goodness YES!  If only they could see the world through our eyes... they wouldn't be in such a hurry to grown up!

  4. yes, for sure, my daughter is 5 and sometimes i get a better conversation out of her than my hubby, lol

  5. Kids are growing up faster than they used to. They are maturing and developing alot faster as well. My oldest daughter is eleven but most of the time she acts like she is twenty-one. To me it is just amazing how kids never used to grow up so fast but now that the times have changed and the world is different than it used to be the kids are too. There really is no stopping it. You just have to raise them the right way.

My 9yr old is going through puberty!!!!  The drama, the mood swings....OMG!!!!  I thought I had a few more good years left!!  But nooooooo, we are dealing with a crush on johnny depp (which is a little weird cuz I had a crush on him back in his 21 Jump Street days and now my daughter has posters of him), EYE ROLLING and I even experienced the "YOU JUST DON'T UNDERSTAAAAAND"!!!  YES, they are growing up MUCH faster!!  It's not good.

They feel pressured to grow up faster.  I mean think about it, when you were in kindergarten what all was required from you compared to what kids are expected to do today.  I know my 6 year old acts like he is a lot older sometimes just because he is forced to be that way with society the way it is now.  

  8. yap! things so happen so fast that when you wake up in the morning you found out your kids have grown so fast!

  9. Absolutely. Kids are getting to be too smart-mouthed and argumentative. And this comes from a teen. :O
