Are kilts allowed at most golf courses as proper attire since its part of the history of golf?

You must know that some courses have dress policies or codes, the most common are slacks and polos(formal wear) for higher priced courses.

I know that there are many courses that have strict pants only attire rules.  A kilt would be pushing the envelope.  Plus i am not sure that a kilt, has its history in golf.

Yes but not because they are part of the history of golf (because they aren't - they may be part of Scottish clan history, but not golf per se).  I have never seen a golf course dress code banning a kilt.

They may be accepted in Scotland where the kilt is part of fashion. Whether it is part of the history of golf seems to be debatable  So I would err on th side of fashion and ask if a club would include kilts as proper attire.
