  1. You must know that some courses have dress policies or codes, the most common are slacks and polos(formal wear) for higher priced courses.


  2. I know that there are many courses that have strict pants only attire rules.  A kilt would be pushing the envelope.  Plus i am not sure that a kilt, has its history in golf.

  3. Yes but not because they are part of the history of golf (because they aren't - they may be part of Scottish clan history, but not golf per se).  I have never seen a golf course dress code banning a kilt.

  4. They may be accepted in Scotland where the kilt is part of fashion. Whether it is part of the history of golf seems to be debatable  So I would err on th side of fashion and ask if a club would include kilts as proper attire.
