I've had my pet fish for quite some time and they are quite big. I'm thinking of frying them up in a little olive oil with some garlic...how does that sound,? Will it taste good?

  1. i cant imagine you are serious. but i dont think they are rally the type of fish you eat.

  2. Koi and goldfish (different species) are both a type of carp. So yes, they would be edible.

They would probably taste like carp too...not too bad.

But why would you eat them? They're pet fish.

    basicaly not recomended

  4. Goldfish and Koi are both bottom feeders and those don't usually taste very good.  I guess if you were desperate you wouldn't much care.  I understand that they even eat guppies in Trinidad and I always wonder if they eat them bones and all?  Because I can't imagine trying to pick out the bones of such little fish.  I'll tell you though, some days when my female guppies just keep dropping hundreds of fry and my tanks are all full, the thought of just making some guppy fry pie is really tempting!  :p

  5.      Goldfish are a type of carp so I suppose that you could eat them.  However, I would be wary.  Have they been exposed to any chemicals that would make them inedible to humans?  I personally would not eat a fish that I have raised for so long.

  6. Oh yes, actually NO!!!! Why would you want to eat them? That's nasty sory but true! They may have parasites in them and nasty stuff

  7. sell them to a fish/pet store and buy some REAL food.

  8. For some reason I find that funny.  This must be a joke, lols?
