Are laptops really necessary for first year college students.?

going to community college. if they are which one would you reccomend and why?

Nah it's not really necessary.  Each college have their own computer labs that you could use.

lol. No they are not a necessity.  The schools library and even most dorms have computer labs.  they are a time waster if you have internet and allow you to put off researching for that paper until 2 am because you "can" from the comfort of your own bed.

Yes and I would recomend an Acer...the are great laptops and have the power you need go to the link below and find what you ned. I am an It and pc builder and use all Ace monitors and two laptops as well as like 20 of my friends that I have recomended them to .
