  1. Yes, if eaten it will be dangerous for the dog


  2. They can cause abrasions if the dog doesn't have anything else to walk on.  Other than that, they aren't really dangerous unless the dog swallows them (don't laugh, dogs eat some really stupid things for no apparent reason sometimes).
