  1. Chickens and roosters are the same species, with chickens/hens being the females and roosters being the males... for some reason not many people seem to realize this. Roosters can't lay eggs any more than men can (naturally) have babies; that just isn't their role in the scheme of things. So, of course, no "specially formulated" chicken feed will ever make a rooster lay eggs. They lack the organs, hormones, etc. necessary to do so.

  2. If you have access to Yahoo answers look up the biology of chickens and roosters on another site. I know we have all seen the woman who had the s*x operation to be a man but is still having a baby-unless you plan on such a big investment for the surgery stick with Chicken/Hen=Woman

and Rooster=Man. That would be some super tricked out feed to do that.

  3. Only the female hens lay eggs.  They can/will lay eggs for consumption without a rooster or male chicken even being there, of course if you want to make little chickens you would need a rooster.

  4. um.....roosters are male. Males don't lay eggs. It would be like a human male having a baby (ignoring the possibility of a s*x change etc etc)

  5. Ummmm....NO! Hens can only lay eggs. Roosters cant and never will. Sorry to disappoint you.

  6. roosers r males...they cant do that. duhhh

  7. A rooster is a boy chicken, so no, I don't think they will be able to lay eggs, even if they eat specially formulated feed.  Just like human females have eggs inside their bodies, female chickens (hens) make eggs inside their bodies, too.  They just shoot them out on a more regular basis than human females.

  8. No since the rooster is male.

  9. Roosters can not lay eggs no matter what they eat.Their was an old wives tale that said that roosters layed eggs. The eggs were called rooster eggs cause they had no yolks and they believed that the eggs were layed by roosters. The eggs were actually layed by young hens that hadnt gotten the hang of egg laying yet.
