Specifically, a precious resource that must be rationed?

Just taking the temperature to see if I can start debating the health care issue honestly of if we are still in Fantasyland.

  1. so, it looks like you are gonna go back into the house and hide cause the weather out here does not look very favorable to you~?!

  2. How can you label yourselves the 'greatest country in the world' when most of you can't even afford health care?

    Talk about delusional.

  3. Your argument is that health care should be only for those that can afford it?  You should read th Hippocratic oath, health care should be available for all, and not just for those that can afford it.  How can america not be ashamed when the heroes of the 911 disaster can get health care in Cuba and not in the United States.

You don't think my point is honest, you disagree so you say my point is dishonest?

What about the people that for no fault of their own can not take care of themselves?  The heroes that are fighting Bush's oil war in Iraq, come back without the ability to make a living, they don't deserve health care?

  4. Health care shouldn't be classed as a luxury but a human right. That's where the Americans go wrong, How on earth can a country which considers itself to be th greatest and most civilized nation in the world not offer its citizens free health care.

  5. We label ourselves the greatest country in the world be cause we give the most opportunity for people to become educated, get a job, and take care of their own d**n lives. How can any country call itself the greatest if its people constantly leech off the government because they cannot care for themselves?

  6. You're seeking "honest debate? Your own position is fairly dishonest, using a straw man in such an obvious way.

You actually have a supportable position there somewhere. Health care is a service, that service has value, and it must be paid for. I'd just ask how one can justify forcing citizen A to pay provider B for care received by citizen C rather than put words into some imaginary "leftist's" mouths.
