Are leg cramps serious?

i am having leg camps a lot behind my knees mainly at night but some throughout day for about a month...is this a serious problem

  1. no but make sure you drink water thats why your getting cramps


  2. Well it could be a few things.

    A pinched nerve in the back will cause leg pain.

    I have spinal stenosis, it cause severe leg pain behind the knees because of the nerves being crushed.

    Lack of water can do it also.

    Lack of Potassium also causes cramps.

       You are describing what I am feeling right now at 8:45 P.M. after a long day on my feet, and like I said for me it is nerve damage in my back.

    Bottom line...see a Doctor!

  3. No it is not a serious problem. It is due to lack of water. Try to drink more water and the problem will go away.
