Are legs weights good for buidling muscle?

ok welll im about to start working out in a minute sooo quick answers.

do legs weights build legs muscles like your calves and thighs??

im trying to build some more muscle in my legs.

i've heard before that leg weights are bad is it true?

i just got them yesterday.

  1. You have to be careful with leg weights, they can easily tear ligaments and damage joints.

    That said, the best dunker in my high school swore by them.  He was 6'2 and could do a 360 degree dunk.


  2. leg weights can be bad for you if you don't use them in the right form. there are other ways to work our your leg mucles like running and calve raises but they will do no harm if you use them correctly.

  3. Do not use weights while running. You can use leg weights for exercise, just like lifting and doing plyometrics.

    You heard correct, leg or ankle weights are very bad for you.  

  4. No they'll hurt your joints.

  5. leg weights aren't very good. try squats and plyos
