  1. should be fine

  2. Well, it all really depends. You need to make sure that when you have the two together, that the tank is large enough. The only reason I am bringing this up is because gouramis can be aggressive and territorial. I had an amazingly beautiful blue gourami paired with some danios, tetras, a molly, a pleco, and a loach in a 35 gal tank. I am not sure if it was the size that bothered him, but I would always watch him terrorize the smaller fish. He would eventually kill them and drag them up toward the filter and store them there. It was really weird, actually. I would look up the temperament of dwarf gouramis and see if what they are compatible with. Maybe since it is a dwarf they would get along better. I will do whatever I can to help your situation.

    Good luck!

  3. As long as they have plenty of space, yes.

  4. Yes

  5. Good question!! I currently have 2 zebra danios and 2 pearl gouramis.  The pearls rarely bother the zebras.  I am also planning to get a pair of dwarf gouramis in my 40g aquarium and am interested in seeing some more responses to your question myself.

    Good luck :)
