Question:

Are liberals against marriage and the family?

They support g*y marriage, single parenthood, welfare benefit dependency, abortion and co-habiting.

Harriet Harperson beleives that straight white British males should be "positvely discriminated" AGAINST when applying for jobs - thereby impairing their ability to provide for their family (if the man and his wife *choose* for him to work and her to stay home, which is a valid choice, after all).

They oppose the right of women to be a wife and mother first and foremost and stay home to care for their children if they so choose to do this.

They oppose religion (unless its Islam).

This therefore leads me to conclude that they oppose marraige, fidelity, self-sufficiency and strong family values.

  1. I'm not a lib but it's impossible to say anything about that large of a group of people.

  2. Aren't you talking about the Labour party rather than Liberals per se ?

    Harriet Harman is just twisted.

  3. Now you see why liberals are retarded. Good job.

  4. no and no.its just too expensive to expect to have the old traditional way of life.

  5. No, they want g*y families.

  6. you shouldnt conclude that though...i could easily say i conclude that all conservatives oppose peace and self acceptance because they are religious, and religion has continuously caused many wars over the course of time and therefore ended many lives- and that they oppose g*y marriage therefore denying certain people the right of self-acceptance.

in my honest opinion i feel that conservatives are people who have not seen enough in the world or known enough people...they are isolated within their own ideals which have been passed along from generation to generation and therefore are not open to anything they have never been exposed to before. in other words, what they fear they are opposed to. just some thoughts of mine.

p.s.- as for the whole pro-abortion thing, its not that liberals are pro abortion persay its that we are pro-choice. if the technology is available and someone has made a personal decision that they want to go through with why does it make any sense for us to deny that person what they feel would be best? its not as if women who have had an abortion are cruel and unremorseful like a lot of people see it ...it is still an emotional thing i can imagine. So, if someone chooses to have an abortion im fine with that, no judgement here! If they choose not to, well thats fine too! As long as i know they had the choice, i feel there is justice.

  7. they eat babies too...

  8. Just because you support those things doesn't mean you dont support the traditional family as well.  I think they are happy with whoever people choose to be.

  9. A more perfect misrepresenation or misunderstanding of liberalism could not be more succinctly put. Well done!

  10. Ha ha, you are clueless.

  11. Do you even believe what you have posted? This is complete idiocy.

  12. That is so left field that I am lost for a reply.  Just plain ugly.

  13. 1) g*y marriage support shows that we are FOR commitment in the home, not against it. Single Parenthood is not the ideal, but it is a reality.  If conservatives weren't so against teaching Birth Control, we'd have less of it.  Welfare dependency:  The whole system needs to be revamped.  The government punishes people for working (try looking at the guidelines sometime!); Abortion:  Just because I am pro-choice doesn't mean I'm pro-abortion.  Cohabitating:  And the problem with that is???

2)I am so sick of hearing that the "white man" is "discriminated against".  Women still make $.71 to every $1 a man makes.  White men still run the country.  Companies still have more white men controlling them.  Please.  That is just ludicrous.  I don't know what this Harperson says, but I think her point is this:  if white men were discriminated against the way women and minorities are now, they might have a better understanding of how things really work.

3)I am a liberal, and I don't oppose women staying home to raise a family.  It is the hardest work a person does.

4)What?  We oppose religion?  Huh?  What planet are you from?  Just because we believe as the founders of the US did that there should NOT be a state religion, does not mean that liberals are anti-religion.  I am religious.  I know a lot of people who are liberal and religious and span all sorts of faiths - from Catholic to Protestant to UU to Jewish to Islam to Hindu...

Wow, you've got a lot of fallacious arguments.

  14. Gordon Brown is against marriage and family value because he is helping only lone mothers...who they get everything benefit and council houses...married mothers don't get nothing. Child poverty? Because lone mother spend their benefit in McDonald beers cigarettes hair extension and fake nails...And now lone mothers who has to work because her child is 7 are trying to get pregnant again....open your eyes Gordon....

  15. If they support g*y marriage, doesn't that mean they're PRO-marriage?

If they advocate support for single mothers and other families in need, doesn't that mean they have STRONG family values?

  16. And against religion.

  17. Dude they will call the thought police on you if you keep this up.
