Are long (skate) boards for beginners?

Question

I want to buy one of the loaded dervish long boards because they look so sweet but I was just wondering if they are meant for beginners or people with little experience?

not really

alot of myfriends learned long bord first but i learnd i normal one first instead

It really doesn't matter.  A bigger board is more stable so it might be easier to ride.  The techniques for riding are the same for longer boards and short boards.
