Statistically, no.  You're more likely to lose money than to earn any.  If you have like five bucks to spend and you're not in any financial troubles, go ahead.  Worst case scenario you lose 5 bucks.

No they are not worth it. I work at a convenience store and I have seen people spend $300 buying scratch offs only winning MAYBE $50. There is this belief the lottery has put out that if you buy 3 or 4 tickets in a row and they are losers, the next one has got to be a winner. People actually believe this, keep buying tickets until they end up running completely out of money before they realize they are NOT going to win. I have seen people continuously go to the ATM and scrape up pennies to buy scratch offs. Its ridiculous. There is NO TRICK, it does NOT matter what number the ticket is on, it is all about LUCK. Unfortunately, you would have better luck getting struck by lightning than winning BIG on a scratch off.

The odds of winning are definitely against the buyer.

You might get lucky and win a little bit of money, but overall, your odds of making more money than what you spend are against you.

I would put your money in a mutual fund.

No,  games of chance are just that GAMES OF CHANCE.

There are better ways to gamble. I like horse racing because I make the decision on which horse to wager on from his past performance.

You still need some luck but you are not depending 100% on luck.

No they typicaly payout 50% to 60% of what they take in. You will have no chance of making a living off of it.

i say no.. i buy them every now and then and some times i get luck and sometimes i dont.. keep your money.. or buy them occasionally. like i do ..
