Question:

Are macarons a good souvenir?

They will have to be in my suitcase for 2 weeks before I get home ...will they still be fresh?

You could buy them just before going home. Otherwise, packaged cookies or chocolate candy would keep better (keep them in a cool, dry place, of course). A jar of delicious French mayonnaise or mustard might also be good souvenirs.

Macarons are definetly a GREAT souveni i LOVE them.. but they will definetly not be able to last to weeks in ur suitcase

Watch out - I've had them confiscated in customs before =/  They also won't stay terrible fresh for 2 weeks in a suitcase.

That being said, if you can, but the Jean Trogneux macarons (best I've ever tasted).  I think they have at least one boutique in Paris.

Not if they are going to be packed for two weeks. They will be all crumbled. Do like the other person suggested and get them right before you leave.
