  1. There is currently exactly one maglev-line in commercial operation: Shanghai from the city to the airport. Top speed is 431 km/h (268 mph), average 250 km/h (150 mph).

    And no: passengers dont feel weightless; why should they? The vehicle is lifted and guided bei magnets instead of wheels - that's all.


  2. haha noo, they are not weightless unless they are carring a hundred pounds of magnets in their pockets.

    no maglev in the U.S..

    there is experimental maglev in Germany and I believe Shanghai.

    For the most part it is horribly expensive for the service returned. not much faster than conventional high speed rail

    dont expect to see it here anytime soon
