Should Americans be spending trillion dollars in unwarranted war, while people are in mass depression? Can America really be proud of being a world super power while it can not look after its own citizens? Why is antidepressant number one prescription drug in USA? Why are there so many aggressive American on the internet? Are Americans naturally breed to be violent? Why are there so many incidences of snaping muderers in USA? Do American truely love each other as presented to the rest of the world?

  1. Sane is a legal term.  If your asking do the majority have some form of a mental illness then I don't know but I would suspect the number of people who do is high enough to be scary.

K has a real good point and I would add to his that some of this is doctors looking for work and drug companies looking for customers.  We are not all having a problem dealing with reality but we have allot of well trained professionals telling us we have problems that drugs can cure.  So we believe them and we pay and we zone out and think its better.

  2. people just worry and stress about the wrong things

  3. This addiction to drugs is so depressing.  What to do, what to do...

  4. Well the Americans that are buying these medications have been fooled into thinking that this is the way to go to solve lifes problems when I know and people like me believe it's not. Some people can't put the connection together that drugs go hand and hand with the violence in this country. Some violent acts were not caused by pill popper but that is not the only way these drugs make it into our bodies. Our food has been poisoned with drugs as well for the same effect. There are still serveral people taking these drugs and haven't commited crimes yet but they have thought about it and even though of suicide...guarenteed! Just that the right trigger has not been set off in them to comince the act of violence whether against themselves or others.

Americans can't be proud if they are depressed. Depression does not nor can not have the charatoristics of a proud person. Look at all the things we have. Movies, video games, internet and other various ways for entertainment have shaped and modled our minds to be aggressive and not care about no one etc and yet we still have a small group of people who are nice and truly loving to theire brotheren. I think we need more of that if we want to live a free and happy life. I could go on and on about this cause there is so much on this that we should all know.

  5. Actually, all these new 'diseases' that are popping up have always been around, it's just that people are too lazy to deal with themselves anymore, so they cry to science to dull the pain.

    Thirty years ago...

It was creativity.  Now, it's ADHD.

It was 'the dumps.'  Now it's Clinical Depression.

It was stress.  Now it's Anxiety Disorder.

It was thinking.  Now it's Circadian Offset.  Or schizophrenia.  Or hyperactivity.

People aren't getting sick (for the most part), they're getting drugged up because they can't deal with reality.

  6. Yes, the majority of Americans are sane, but those who do not need this medication take it because it is marketed so well by pharmaceutical companies and doctors. We are a nation that markets products better than anyone else on earth, drugs are no exception.

  7. Look, kid, there are a lot of us, enough that any generalization is going to be largely wrong, in addition to demonstrating your malfeasant idiocy.

You're pretty d**n aggressive yourself, Mr. Proud Citizen of wherever you're from - does that make all your countrymen the same?

  8. naturally bred to be aggressive...oh, that's choice.  Americans came to this country to get away from violence and it followed.  Every time the UN has a problem, they beg America for help.  We act as a big brother because we have had problems through our ancestors or even more recently ourselves as we are first generation citizens.

I think more of us are stressed out and take medicinal drugs for that stress.  While the rest of the world gets stoned and coked illegally for a bit of destressing, we ask our doctors for help.  So, Quit stressing us out, MAN!

  9. Most Americans truly do love each other. Most of them are really very nice and welcoming to visitors. But as in any country there are a few that are completely rude and mean!

  10. most Americans are *******

  11. If you stop and think about your question...it might occur to you that anti-depressants, (control peoples moods). Some REALLY need it, others need it for brain washing purposes......stay calm while the gov. does their undermining and use the media for propaganda. 'Sheep led to slaughter.

You also have to remember that each super power in the past fell from their pedestal, at the hands of others that got tired of their arrogant, greedy, and controlling ways.

You can not blame All Americans for what the individuals in power do or do not do.....I truly do not think Bush was re-elected into office, fairly. The rich and powerful control .....to including the Corperate  Gruels. Money is a bargaining chip for these giant-companies, who have much of the controlling factor....due to becoming or already are monopulies.

The war is a money war. War is very lucrative and Bush knows there is a race on to gain as much oil as possible ....due to China's growing need, within a few short years. Bush will short change his own people and murder thousands of others, (within the war zone ), if they stand in his way of achieving that goal. Also, if our people and the civilions of the war torn country are not consentrating on the wide scale of issues of the war and only look at who is getting killed...then Bush and his cronies are doing their job, taking what they want. Deception / manipulation tactics.

Have you ever seen our country HELP another country out of dictatorship, ( as spoken about Saddam )....unless there was a point of gain for the oil man, (Bush) and his oil  tycoon buddies. Halibertan and Chaneys shares.

No...otherwise Cuba would have been freed of their dictatorship and the Sudan / Dar-four issues would have been stopped. There is no assets worth fighting for in those regions of the world.....to pad the rich mans pockets.

I could go on and on.....but, I'm tired and have to go to bed in order to earn another dollar to spend on those outragious gasoline prices at the gastations.

Sorry, for some reason my spell check is not working...it must be tired also !

  12. sad ain't it, the drugs are for profit

  13. The whole anti depressant thing has nothing to do with the war, it started long before that.   I think it's directly tied to the comercials pushing drugs for depression and into people talking about depression like it's something you just take a pill for.   There are much better ways of dealing with problems than pills whether they are the illegal or legal variety.   I don't take anything stronger than an advil.

I also think it has a lot more to do with materialism on a personal level.

I don't think it has anything to do with any of the political things you are suggesting.

I work in a treatment center for kids that have been in trouble and they sure don't blame anything on America, they blame it on their drug addict alcoholic parents.
