Follow the money trail and you will see a correlation between how one votes & the ideology of their financial backers.

I'm willing to bet dollars to donuts, or in this case vegan donuts because they are more ecologically responsible ; ) that more fossil fuel dollars have been spent lobbying congress men & women than environmental interest monies.

They fact that some are trying to spin this issue as a green money making scam is absolutely absurd & shows the "Thank you for not smoking tactics that are being employed. This tactic IMO was first injected into the public by paid fossil fuel interests and is now being picked up by certain elements of the anti eco mob.

  1. It becomes even more absurd when you realize that politics is a show , a Circus for the sake of the gullible public,

and all players are pre determined any way,

All presidents since day one are related and have had the same grand daddy behind the scenes telling them what to do.

There always are a lot of different Faces ,Names and Political parties in the stable of contestants so that who ever the public votes for ,the same stable always wins ,as there is only one

Global Warming has become a platform for manipulation,

    for the wrong reasons

The Environment is not the main focus

    Global Control IS

  2. The most glaring example of corporate interests buying congresscritters is the agribusiness lobby raking in a fortune due to biofuel mandates.  There's also a lot of behind-the-scenes lobbying by Greenpeace, the richest private not-for-profit organization in the world that controls more cash than many governments and corporations.  And don't forget that $300 million that Al Gore announced he'll spend on propaganda for his carbon-trading scheme that has made him $100 million so far...

  3. We do need to make sure that our elected officials are honest, and honorable people. And yes lobby groups do have a lot of power in swaying government decisions. Just remember that it is suppose to be majority rule, and as long as the majority are choosing wisely, we should be on the right track.

  4. Yes it's true.

And sadly, yes, a bigger amount in subsidies has gone to ethanol than any other alternative energy.

You prove the point of the questioner.  The government does what is in the big corporate interest with ethanol, instead of supporting solar and wind, which are sustainable.

Only the naive don't understand that corporate interests have more influence in Washington than anyone else.

  5. IN MY OPINION = ALL OFFICIALS DO WHAT THEY NORMALLY DO = JUST TALK  AND WANT MORE MONEY FOR THEIR PET PROJECTS, INSTEAD OF THE REAL PROBLEM. ONLY TIME YOU HEAR FROM THEM IS AROUND ELECTION TIME, OTHERWISE THEIR SLEEP WALKING. OH AND RECYCLING DOES'NT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH GLOBAL WARMING,  Also http://www.socyberty.com/Activism/First-...  OTHER THEN THIS, YOUR GREENING ANYTHING DOES'NT  HAVE A THING TO DO WITH GLOBAL WARMING.   HAVE A NICE DAY.
