Are marijuana laws really enforced in Canada?

I know that marijuana is illegal in Canada but then again people say that

the cops there usually turn a blind eye to it unless you are dealing or something. Is this true? Does anybody out there know for a fact to what extent Canadian police enforce current marijuana laws? What can you generally get away with? I'm specifically interested in how it is in Nova Scotia.

  1. I've been in all these situations and trust me, drug laws in Canada are ******.

Driving around with 3 pounds of skunk, 4 people, all with cellphones filled with months of texts concerning dealing.

Pulled over by the cops who smelled it, stupid friends lawfully swayed their rights and got out of the car. The cops searched them, and the vehicle and found and confiscated everything, plus $4,000 worth of drug money. We were all visibly high, including the driver. And the car smelled like burnt skunk weed. Trust me, we were screwed in all ways possible.

We all walked away about 3 hours later with no charges, we hadnt even said anything. We had to just sign a paper documenting the arrest. They gave back the money and cell phones, confiscated the weed and sent us home in the car we were smuggling with.

    This was in Ontario.

What eactly are cops for in Canada?

  2. Yes its illegal there.

  3. When it comes to stoned drivers, hey are nowadays. Canadian marijuana is generally grown indoors and can be extremely potent. Careless Canadians who smoke this high-grade strain of the drug and get behind the wheel are considered a very dangerous hazard. Don't drive stoned in Canada, especially not in Toronto.

  4. They shouldn't be enforced ANYWHERE
