Are mediumTriangle tips good why or why not?

That kind of tip depends on what you are using it for. If you are going to use it on a breakcue then no. If you need a tip on your breakcue try a Moori, you want a tip that is not going to mushroom out and have to keep reshaping. I use Triangles on my shooting cues. But that again depends on what kind of player and stroke you have.  If you are a banger and all you do is hit balls hard and with alot of force then you want a harder tip. But if you use percision and a slower speed and stroke then use a triangle. You have to try a few different types to see what kinds works best for your shooting style.

Tips, like a lot of equipment, are mostly personal preference.  I started out with a medium Triangle and did fine with it.  Granted, I tend to use a Tiger Sniper now, but every now and then I'll have to go back and play with one of my original shafts with a Triangle and it's fine.  It's not like it makes me miss shots or anything.

I wouldn't say that any Triangle tip is good. Spend a few extra bucks and get some real value. You'll run through a triangle in a hurry.
