Are men afraid to have children? If so why?

What are you reasons to have or not have a family?

Men are afraid to have children because it means commitment and devotion to one single woman. Sometimes, they're just not ready for it. When a man wants to have children, it means he wants to start a family with the woman he love and is willing to be commited to the relationship. Children ties the men down, so the men have to consider it carefully.

I've heard this before. However, it's not having children. It's the associated issues.

Loss of time with partner.

Loss of romance.

Loss of financial ability.

Then later :

Divorce is possible. Divorce generally carries a large list of losses almost always given to the male.

Sorry, but society for what ever reason has made it very unreasonable for men to get married and/or have children. Men have to be extremely certain that the woman they're with is going to be there for ever.

I think it's more a sociatal issue than a male preference.

well not all guys but for some its just to big of a responsibility for them ,or they don't want to give up there freedom to life

I would not want a child before i get out of school, because a child is too big of a commitment to take on during school. But I believe that once your out of school, if you can afford it and accept responsibility, go for it. I am not sure why that would be the case in guys, its not with me. But hey, everybody is different.
