  1. I believe social conditioning as demonstrated by the number of women (successfully) getting into areas that were pretty much male dominated, eg military and law enforcement, construction, ETC

  2. Course its both. Obvious. Lesbains tend resist the social conditioning but stillbody wise are every bit female, though some may be butch

  3. obviously both.

Only one gender can have babies, and only one can sire them.

But why does Mom get the job of cooking and cleaning while Dad fixes the toilet, changes the oil, and takes out the garbage?  No good reason.  There are exceptions, that work out fine.  So that division of labor is mainly cultural.

Men seem more competitive, women more cooperative.  This seems to be testosterone-driven.  But even women have some testosterone.  And some normal women have more than some healthy men.

  4. Genetics; by nature, men and women were meant for different roles, even though this need NOT equate with active discrimination. Certain critical aspects of political equality such as equality before the law and equal rights to vote are NOT undone by genetic differences. What IS different are the expected and (mostly) actual roles that most men and most women play in society. This does NOT put anyone in a guilded cage (the different roles mean they still all can and ought to hold jobs), it simply means that men take positions which require logic and objectivity, while women take positions which requite emotions and subjectivity. It isn't sexism, its fact, and if we can adapt society to this fixed truth, rather than fight it, we will be living in a more just state; a state which obeys the rules of nature, NOT our foolish desires.

  5. Genetics, hands down. Men and women's role were defined long ago by the differences in there physical attributes. Women also have the most of important role of all, child birth. Women may be making great strides in the work force but you still don't see a proportionate  number of them in labor intensive positions. d**n, it's to early here  for me to answer these questions.

  6. Good question. Actually the flesh grows as female or male. Using food, fighting bacteria etc becomes different. We all start as similar beings but later we differentiate into one or the other . The aura becomes very important in decision making. It is unhealthy to remain as neutral.

  7. both,,,

  8. It's almost always both. With most questions like these, you can answer both.

I think that it is social conditioning.

    Genetics:

Women obviously have different parts..on their bodies for reproduction than men do, so this is a big different. Plus you need a man and a woman produce offspring. Also, women seem to have more hormones because of this, so this affects their mood.

    Social Conditioning:

Even with these differences, it is probably because of social conditioning because that exploits these differences. Women and men just follow each other's examples and so the differences grow. A lot of girls who grow up with mostly guys become a lot more tomboyish than other girls. Then when they are introduced to other girls, they can start to change into being more girlish. That's my reason.

So if not both, social conditioning.

  9. no one can determine a bigger factor . it's a combination of both. But read "As Nature Made Him; The Boy Who Was Raised As A Girl" by John Colapinto. It's about a kid born a boy and when he was about 2 he was "turned" into a girl due to a freak accident. It argues strongly for genetics.

  10. Both.  As to genetics, there is the obvious biological difference which is plain for all to see.  Social conditioning is predicated upon this difference, so obviously it would play an enormous part in the differences between men and women.

For instance, there's no rule that says men can't wear makeup or dresses; but we are conditioned in our society that these are "ladies only" things.

  11. Genetic conditioning.Social conditioning depends on particular society or individual.
