  1. Some women can, but not many.

  2. Men are a lot stronger then women physically.

Men might be afraid to hurt them so they might let them win. Women might be afraid they men will hurt them since they are so much stronger.

  3. This is another example of feminist fraud:

    http://clearblogs.com/feministfraud

Feminists want equality, except in areas that they may lose.

  4. Yes this is generally true as men are usually bigger, faster, stronger, and a lower percentage body fat.

However that's not to say that it is impossible for women to compete with men as in some cases it can be done.

Louise who brought up the 100 m sprint, you clearly don't know much about sports.

  5. I wouldnt say compete but in real physical games its for their safety

    1) Some guys wouldn't have a problem smashing a women within the laws of the game (eg american football)

    2) Some guys are real aggressive on the sports field and i dont think a girl would win a fight (not being sexist)

    3) In games like rugby where you have lots of player on each other forming a "ruck" i can defiantly say there will be a few dodgy guys who would basically groop the girls b*****s and v****a

    4) In sports where you have heats (eg 100m sprints) to qualify for the finals 99% of the finalists would be male

(yes i know there are some women that can beat men but if you look up world record for men and women in the same event you will see why)

  6. Absolutely. And it isn't just a matter of strength. There is separation in tennis, in golf, and even in billiards.

  7. no, it's more because men cannot compete with women.

i'm a man. i cannot play my best against a woman; besides i would not be as much interested in winning as paying attention to her curves.. and i'd feel bad if she cries.

    they'll win all the time..

  8. Apparently so. I'm not degrading women, but men have more strength on them than women do.

  9. This is a logical separation, because of the different physical makeup (even though some feminists can't accept the fact that their bodies aren't nearly a strong, on the whole).

BTW, where is the "Gender and Men's Studies?"

  10. What a horrible, reactive answer submitted by louise

"Women don't want to compete with men..."  Oh is that what it is? That's been the true reasoning the entire time? It's not that you can't, you just didn't want to! Get the 3825 outta here.

Then in the next paragraph you go on to talk about ' well only about a second separates men and women in the 100 meters, so that argument that women are the weaker s*x gets old'.  - I thought you guys didn't want to compete, why are you drawing comparisons there?.... anyway 1 second, is a  long 277 time to be behind in the 100 meters- (not sure if you realized that)- but the point remains. >>

-What's more disappointing/disgusting than your inability to compete, is your desire to try to punch out any sort of argument you can- even if it contradicts what you just said in the previous paragraph.-

  11. It is not a question of whether we could compete.  Women do not want to compete with men, unless the sport is something like shooting, darts, snooker, pool etc...

Women simply want the sport they compete in to be given equal value. So, for example, women could play American football against each other and would be a good game.  It is only when our sporting endeavours are constantly belittled in comparison with boys and men.

Venus Williams served one of the fasted serves of a man or a woman at this years Wimbledon...we should celebrate all sporting abilities whether female or male.  If not, then when women do not play sport, or move because sexist apes say it makes them manly or odd, then  do not call us 'fat lazy cows' when we do nothing at all Get it!

As for this physical competition...check out times for sprinters etc...the difference between men and women over 100 metres is not a couple of minutes you know? Less than a second in most cases...so the argument for us being the weaker s*x starts to get tired!

  12. The male mammal is usually larger and stronger than the female.

    This is news to you?

  13. Yes.  There are a few exceptions but in general the average man's physical ability is greater than the average woman's.

  14. Perhaps it is done to keep distraction at bay; there are also different bathrooms; that time of the month; matters of a private nature to contend with; working with different and diverse cultures all fit into the reasoning; besides who's stronger.

Men's events are more gruelling; more is expected out of them; than what is expected from women; it's always "go easy on the ladies."

  15. Yeah that's why there are separate teams. It's not sexist it's reality.

  16. no bcos men cannot compete with women...come on ppl admit that!

  17. Yep - and rightfully so.  We see some women trying to compete in PGA events - and the term 'trying' is fitting.  They are great golfers, but simply can't play the same distances as their male counterparts.  This doesn't make them less, it just points out the strength difference - generally speaking - between men and women.

But I would also like to add that if women are permitted to compete on the men's tour, I think that men should also be permitted to compete on the women's tour...although I don't see many who would want that distinction...

  18. Men and women have different stamina and physical ability. There are some women who can compete equally with men and some men who only match a woman, but on the whole, men and women can't compete because they are built differently. Women are built to be small and delicate in bone and body mass. Men are built to be bigger and sturdier. So, the genders are separated, to keep sports fair and even.

  19. Actually, in some profesional sports or rather olympic there have been women competing against men.  I know that in professional beach volleyball they actually allow "boys vs girls" matches, and usually the girls almost always win.  As a general rule most sports require strength, speed, or both, and sorry but, biologically women are outmatched.

However, in sports such as volleyball, which is more about finesse and team work than muscling your way through, or even speed skiing which is all about technique, women have been known to win depending on how hard they trained.  The one sport where men and women are also equal, where physical difference is irrelevant, is fencing.  Fencing, is all about technique, and the foil doesn't weigh that much anyway meaning men and women can perfectly compete with each other.  However largely because of tradition, and to avoid confusion, even in such a sport the genders remain segregated.

Not just tradition, but men's attitudes; performance of male athletes decreases when pitted against women because men the world over are culturally conditioned not to physically bully women in any way.  That means, not abusing athletic gifts.  So, for most guys out there hey, competing against a chick will put you in a very awkward position.

To avoid such dilemas it is better to simply keep the genders separate, that way both sides will give their best.

    hope that helps.

  20. Oh sports...I THOUGHT you said shorts.

  21. Did you just blow in from Stupid Town?

  22. In most sports, yes. I have heard that it's the other way around in fencing (something about women being more flexible), but I'm not sure.

In some types of sports (e. g. rifle shooting), women and men used to compete against one another until one day a woman won. After that, they started competing separately. And currently, the world's top female ski jumpers are better than the men, but they aren't allowed to compete on the highest levels because "there aren't enough of them". Which is false.
