  1. Well many guys are excluded because of prejudice...but it's more discretion than prejudice.  Because women have the societal generalization that they are the best nurturers, it is assumed that a man cannot take care of a child...just like it's assumed that men can't cook or clean better than many women.  I know I can :).  But anyway...As far as it being instinct....Nah. It can't be instinct.   Care for children is not a gender exclusive trait.

  2. Any man who believes that he is excluded from caring for his child is just lazy.  If your instincts cause you to abandon your children you need to get better instincts.

  3. Prejudice, of course. There's nothing natural on the human world, because we base our behaviour on culture, because we are not animals.

  4. No, unless there is some type of legal order. Fathers love to be with their kids, take care of them and love them.

  5. Just as an example, my cousins were raised by a stay at home father; their mom worked. So no, men are not and should not be excluded.
