Are men smarter than women?

Question

I mean like winning Nobel Prizes, or becoming renowned scientists. Who is better and is there scientific proof? And if there is proof, please give them to me.

Appropriate answers please.

No they aren't. When the first IQ tests were designed women performed better in them than men. Since the designers thought they had the perfect tests they were shocked as they expected men to do best. Net result they redesigned the tests to get rid of this.

Men's and women's brains are different, so they are not exactly equivalent and they do better on average at different things.

There is still one overriding reason why women struggle to keep up with their science - if they want a family, the time out really affects their career progress. Science is not a friendly career for those who want any other type of life on the outside.

In certain respects, yes, in others, no.  Since "smartness" is really a conglomeration of different attributes, you can't answer that question.

However, it is possible to say that men have better visual and spatial reasoning; women tend to have better oral and aural skills.

How ever, remember there are differences in the way male and female children are raised, which complicates how you interpret the results.  Nevertheless, there are definitely certain innate advantages that each s*x has in certain mental tasks.

No, infact women are statisically smarter.

Men just happen to win nobel prizes and other awards more often because the stereotype of men are stronger and more powerful. Most of the time, thoee award-winning and famous scientists did have some sort of help from an individual of the female gender to get them where they are now.

But then again it depends on the individual as well.

There's absolutely no evidence to even suggest that men are smarter than women.

You get higher grades than everyone else in your class because you are smarter/work harder than everyone else. Keep up the good work!

That's like asking "which has more freedom, wild animals or zoo animals?" If all things were left alone, there would be no captive animals and there would be no s*x difference in intelligence.
