Are men supposed to pretend that older women are just as attractive as younger women?

Don't bother paying attention to older women if you don't want to-we have enough guys our own age chasing after us-we don't need more of the younger generation doing it too. When I was dating I was looking for people 5-10 years younger or older (I was 48) and had men in their 30's and even 20's asking me out. No thanks-I want a partner-not a child.

Pretend ?  I am older .. and you will find the older you get the better looking older women are to you . Then there is the question of loyalty to your partner ... men age as do women ... many seem to forget that .  

If you are so shallow as to leave your OLD wife for a young woman , you are a fool .

Well two ways to look at this question.1) People say beauty is only skin deep. well so is ugliness.2) I suppose the question would be just as interesting if it was turned  around. Of course woman find young handsome men attractive in the same way that we find beautiful & charming females enticing but it makes for a more peaceful and safer world if we are discreet and keep our thoughts to ourselves.

Hmmm - how much older are you talking?

Old granny types aren't attractive to younger men, they just simply aren't.  But I know many a mature man (by that I mean mature in the brain, not necessarily age) who prefer a knowledgable and sexually comfortable 30 year old, than a 20 year old with no experience!

A guy I know much prefers women a few years older, as they ooze s*x appeal - whereas younger girls (in his opinion) are all **** and ****, and are not s**y at all, as they haven't learnt how to be open with who they are.

Well I believe that all women have their own beauty in different ways. I mean as my friend would say on this question is the older women are more experienced and the younger women are perky..but really I don't have a personal preference thats all it really depends on is your preference. Don't pretend someone is attractive if you truly don't feel that way but also don't forget the term M.I.L.F came from somewhere. Some women age well and others don't.

Look up Marg Helgenberger, she's Katherine Willows on CSI. At 50 years old she is the CLASSIC definition of M.I.L.F.

Also don't forget that ::gasp:: men get older as well. Some men age well but many don't.

Well, first of all there are ugly young women and beautiful older women, so it doesn't make that much sense to be totally stereotypical about it.  Second, in addition to physical attraction, women also want to be loved for something that doesn't fade with time, such as our personalities and kindness and intelligence. I think it should naturally go by your age, when i was 12 i thought 12 year old boys were attractive, not 20 year old men, now that I am 18 it would be creepy to think a 40 year old man is s**y or that a 12 yr old is hot..buut as i get older i think older men will definately be more appealing..so i think 35 year old men that hit on teenage girls are sick..btw.

Actually you aren't supposed to pretend anything ... be honest!

Having said that ... I think that older women can be exceptionally attractive.  Younger women have to mature to be really attractive anyway.

It is a different kind of attraction though!  An older woman might have more poise and confidence then the younger version.

Well, it all depends on how old they are and how old they look. A grandma aged 60 and over may not be as physically attractive as a 40 year old,  but really, it depends on the man and of course some men do prefer younger women.  look at the rich and powerful men, they seem to have much younger women, but maybe those type of men are egotistical.  ( some may not be ).  There is no size fits all.....except that very young men tend to have an age they won't go beyond ( most do, but there are exceptions).........so does it really matter.?.....come on girls stop placing so much importance on your looks !!!!

Whenever you see a hot young woman, just remember, that less attractive older woman is her future. All of us who are older were young once so we know what it was like to have men ogle us. That's why we can advise young women on how to handle it.

All age as in 'Older' or 'Younger' is a relative set of terms.

Younger women may (MAY) have the attraction of 'youth' in their favour, but in my experience there are a number of other attributes that outdo the mere 'youthful' textures time and again.

Quite often the 'youth' know very little, and what little they know has little or no value beyond a very narrow perspective, and a perspective which has a limited shelf life too.

I know this is in DANGER  of tarring many with the same swipe of the brush (and it's NOT intended), but there are so MANY youths (male and female) who are pig ignorant.  And, they have a vacuousness  that they have not the where-with-all to even try to fill.

If you equate Beauty with a High Score, and want to make love to that Beauty, then you risk going through a kind of Groundhog Day ~ time after time, as all you have is what you see, name it 'Beauty'.

On the other hand, a 'Brain / Mind' has the ability and flexibility to at least keep you entertained ~ in a variety of ways.

i don't do that. and men do get old BUT they get more sexier with age. look at brad pitt, george clooney, bill clinton. in their 20s, they were kids. now they are amazing men.

women have 10 years in their 20s. after that, it is a downhill slide in beauty.

and looks are not superficial. if the girl is nice but ugly, i will not date her. looks matter a LOT to men. too bad women live in their fantasy worlds and refuse to recognize that.
