now i don't know if it's just me, but does it seem that women don't get horny nearly as often as men do?

  1. no

  2. Of course they are, as this is so clearly demonstrated in any number of randomized double-blinded placebo controlled studies with utter attention to methodology which ensure a high degree of power to the analytic techniques employed and essentially yield a high degree of external validity.

Here's a great peer-reviewed, highly-regarded bona fide piece of literature on the matter:

"God knows how many women already have no use for their men, who are all too often idle and incompetent both as wage-earners and around the house, uninterested in the children and hopeless in bed" Germaine Greer, Independent (London), Dec 8, 2001.

Now here's real answer:  Please do a literature search (peer-reviewed bona fide medical literature) and use the search strings "testosterone & libido," and I can assure you that there is no significant correlation between physiologic levels of testosterone or even supraphysiologic when there's a normal neurologic substrate (ref range: 320-1300 pg/dL).

Females normally have about 30-50 times less serum testosterone.  A defective neural substrate is equally suseptible to the influence of any any number of endocrine variables including, but not limited to insulin, testosterone, oestrogen, prolactic, growth hormone, thyroxine, etc.  This is called "hard" science and is, frankly, irrefutable and highly reproducible cross-culturally.  Therein lies the difference between "hard science" and nonsense.

  3. From my experience, men have a higher s*x drive than women for the majority of our lives with the exception of women between the approx age of 30-38.

Many women in this age range develop a higher s*x drive than earlier or later in their lives presumably due to it being the later portion of their reproductive years.

  4. "more stupider"? You do realize that's not a word right?

But back to the question. In most cases yes, I'm not sure of the whole biological reason. Women however have been shown to have an increased s*x drive during ovulation, so its natures way of keeping us around.

  5. i am very horny but i am not ashamed about s*x like some women can be and dont know that they can enjoy themselves by having s*x and masturbating. i personally have never met anyone with a higher s*x drive than mine. i started having orgasms at 12 and havent stopped!

  6. I don't know, but whichever s*x you are is the "more stupider" one.

  7. testosterone. Men have like 10 times more of it in our system. As we age our bodies produce less, but still more then women produce of it.

But yes. For the most part it is scientific fact that men are "hornier" than women.

  8. Hmmm pickles, I guess that would depend upon the woman.  Kris, there is no way for that to be scientific fact since it would have to be based on report and women typically will not admit to being "horny".  Most women have been schooled to downplay they own sexuality.

  9. It is a mixture between socialization and chemicals.

Men are supposed to, so socially we must play the role and patrol towns for all women, all night.

And then testosterone and the genitalia play an important role.  We naturally want s*x more throughout time and make it a more important aspect of our daily life.

Overall, i seriously doubt there exists such a large difference between how much we want s*x, meaning between male and female.  It is just how much do we allow each other to know that we are wanting it!

  10. Women can get as horny as men

It's just that women aren't as open about it, and I personally think it can excite some men more if there's some sexual mystery and curiosity about a woman.....I've found it easier NOT being open about s*x, because guys think they can get some from me if I'm open about it...It's not necessary broadcasting my s*x drive to everyone.

I also think that some guys assume that women don't like s*x as much just to make themselves feel better when they get rejected.

The truth is though ALL of the women I know are pretty horny and love s*x.They tell me, because they know they can trust me. They just don't reveal it to any random Joe.

  11. Biologically, yes. Men produce testosterone in larger amounts than women, and it does have this effect. Yet, some men, myself included, have relatively low s*x drives, while some women, have much higher ones.

  12. Depends on the person, but in general yeah.

  13. Kris W: Wrong, while testosterone increases libido, so does Estrogen, which is the female counterpart to testosterone. Testosterone is just more widely known.

Trust me, women are just as horny as us men, men just tend to be a little more forward and open with our sexuality, as a result of our nature.

Biology dictates that a man should plant his seed in as many women as possible, this carries over into modern society as a more forward and open sexuality.

  14. women want to have s*x as well as men do,but the difference is that men want s*x with women while women want s*x with s*x toys.
