Are mentally ill people worthless?

Of course not, no one is worthless.  When people receive the medical and psychological treatment they need, they are perfectly capable of living a good life and contributing to society.  NO ONE IS WORTHLESS.

Whom are you talking about? Who is mentally ill?

I was just wondering about whom you were talking about, but actually, it doesn`t matter for me who this person is. I think, no. Mentally ill people are not worthless, every man in the earth has something in himself that worth a lot. But mentally ill people can harm themselves. I don`t seem to be rude, just trying to help, but the thing you are talking about is a decease, that must be cured. Such people worth something, maybe a lot, but they cannot be happy. And the feeling of happiness is the most important feeling, that any person can feel. That feeling also worth a lot.
