Hi, i am a 12 yr.old girl , recently I went to the amusement park with family. My grandfather is a "little person"" who is 4'0 tall . He wanted to ride a roller coaster but the man said that he was not allowed to ride by himself unless I rode with him. I am 4'11 inches tall. It embarrassed my grandfather. Whats the deal?

  1. It is very simple....it is called liability..

  2. Age of the person is not a factor. The safety features on a ride are designed to work on people of a certain size or larger. Those who are smaller, regardless of their ages, will not be properly protected and therefore can't go on the ride.

If the venue allowed him to ride anyway and he were injured or killed, they would be legally liable. It's a risk they can't afford to take.
