This question is specific to the State of Alabama. How long might a misdemeanor conviction in Alabama show up on a criminal background check?

  1. A misdeedmeanor is considered a "crime", thus it will show up on your criminal record.  It will stay with you for life.  The only way to have that record removed is if you apply for a pardon from the board of parole & pardons.


  2. Unless you get your convictions expunged, yes.  But, then the arrest record would show up on the background check.

  3. Yes, of course.  A Misdemeanor is a crime punishable by up to a year in jail and/or a fine and a criminal conviction remains on your permanent record.
