Are molten salt/sugar conductors?

I know for sure that salt (NaCl) is a conductor in aqeous solutions while sugar (dextrose) isn't. What about molten salt and sugar? Are they also conductors? Why?

  1. I think salt is a conuctor in molten state as it has random moving ions. Sugar is not a conductor at any state as it is a covalent compound.
