  1. They live anywhere there's water and it's reasonably warm - and they're hungry.  I got fed on last year in Malta, in January and it was freezing.  I think it had a fur coat on.

  2. oh no mossies in eire! what??? we ain't meant to have em! then again we ain't meant to jumpin spiders but they came in on a d**n boat! the mossies def ain't down ere in de south!

  3. Why not?  The get them in Iceland too, and you'd think it would be too chilly.

  4. Yes.  Apparently they are even more abundant than usual owing to the very wet summer.  Oh deep, deep joy.  Lucky us.

  5. Mosquito's live in their millions and millions in the Canadian tundra during the short summer months,so Northers Ireland will be well within their habitable boundaries

  6. you need some snakes to kill them

  7. Yes, we get those huge mosquitos. The only real annoyance from these ones is the whine they make close to your ear when you are trying to sleep. They don't usually bite, as the smaller ones I have come across elsewhere tend to. And there are definitely ore this year than before. Must be the weather bing kind to them.
