I have one catch a mosquito and put it on my desk.Have it sticked on paper with glue. After 4 months I thought it's dead.Surprisingly when I pick it slowly with my finger nail it slipped away and was flying away..........

I am wondering why becoz it has had no food for the entire 4 months,no water either.

Please tell me what is their average life span?

Thank U

  1. nah their not immortal they just last a long time without food / water. kill those blood sucking parasites!!!

  2. dont no

  3. wow, that's something. actually i have no idea of the life span of mosquitoes...however i have a hunch that it depends on the species, because not all mosquitoes need blood to survive. there are some (both male and female) mosquitoes are nectar feeders and some females suck blood as part of their breeding habits. however, i don't know how long they actually live...i guess it would only be short if they just hatched and you smack them when they land on your arm...hope i've helped!

  4. Are you sure that's a mosquito?? They normally live for 2 weeks, 2-3 months at most... did you catch it during fall and held it over the winter? It might have been hibernating...

  5. yes they are immortal. and scientists are trying to make ambrosia by melting them and putting them on medicine;p

no seriously now, what do you have to say about cockroaches?they can live for up to 8 weeks without a head!!!!

they just go on and on without blood. kill them ,they suck. literally !!
