  1. Sure, and they turn into republicans when their heart fails and they get greedy and selfish.

  2. no, and this is such an educated statment. i had to laugh then frown over the ignorance of it.

  3. No...you will find all different types of people on a college campus. Depending on which campus you are on there may be more of a particular group present, but that can be anything from hippies to preppies.

  4. For the most part...yes. When they are on their own and have to work, pay taxes, pay the light bill, and everything, that's when they become more conservative. That's when it hits them. They were living a b.s. existence at college.

  5. Most College Students hold down a job while they are studying to improve themselves.

Nice stab at trying to insult the base of the population who will be supporting you when you are older.

  6. Only the one's who have been brain washed into Liberalism since first grade, they usually leave home at about age 4o or so, or never.

  7. Yes.

A conervative is simply a liberal who's been mugged.

  8. You must be referring to some colleges in California like Berkley

  9. No; I teach college, and most students at this age inherit their political beliefs from their parents.

And contrary to popular belief, most of the hippies of the 60's (my generation) have retained their counter-culture philosophies throughout their lives.  They didn't put on three-piece suits and become conservative.

  10. wow.... you're a smart one.

that's the best you got on liberals huh?

must suck to try for so long and so hard to defend Bush, bash Obama, and convince America to vote for a 72 year old warmongering lunatic who by his own admission knows nothing about the economy and wants to stay in Iraq 100 years.

  11. No, hippies are from the worst generation ever - the Baby Boomers.

  12. They are Ideological while someone else is paying their bills, they think its free and they won't have to pay the bill, with no repercussions. After that most wake up and figure out high taxes hurt everyone, that universal health care would be to expensive, Sometimes wars a necessary.

  13. No.

  14. I wouldn't say hippie, but very much liberals, most of them anyways. It's because we are all poor and want things given to us and want everyone to be able to do what they choose. Then they will go to work and realize that all the hard work they are doing is paying for the hippie liberals.

  15. When I went to college, I was thirty.  I had served my country and was working full time.  I was not one of the tree-hugging hippies that you are referring to.  Almost every other student and professor on campus was very liberal and overly idealistic.

  16. You don't sound like a "Happy woman." Don't hate.

  17. I don't know about today's college students, but I was a part of the original hippie movement in the early 70's. I was not a liberal. I did believe in change and nonviolence, and was opposed to the war in Vietnam. But I was not living with my parents, and  had a full time job. The only thing that pissed me off was the communal attitudes of other "friends", that did not work, but thought we all should share. Yeah, right, get a job! Sounds just like Obama.
